We believe that all believers should be a part of a local body where they can grow together in faith and exercise their gifts for the good of the church, the witness to the world and the glory of God. In the New Testament we find new believers attaching to a local body for these purposes. We would love to talk with you about the joy of church membership.

  • Having received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and having been baptized by immersion as a public testimony to my faith in Him, and finding myself in agreement with the vision, mission, and values of Sanctuary, I unite with Sanctuary as a partner in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In following God’s leading, I commit to do the following:

    1) I will protect the unity of my Church by acting in love toward others, refusing to gossip, and by following those in positions of leadership. (Romans 14:19, 1 Peter 1:22, Ephesians 4:49, Hebrews 13:17)

    2) I will share the responsibility of my Church by praying for its growth and development, inviting others to attend and making others feel welcome. I will also participate in outreach events as I am able to do so, and seek to establish a lifestyle witness wherein I am sharing the gospel as a missionary among those who do not know Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 1:1-2, Luke 14:23, Romans 15:7)

    3) I will serve the ministry of my Church by discovering my gifts and talents, being equipped by my pastor to serve efficiently in God’s kingdom, and by developing a servant’s heart as I use my gifts to build up the church and the Kingdom of God. (1 Peter 4:10, Ephesians 4:11-12, Philippians 2:3-7)

    4) I will support the testimony of the church by attending faithfully unless providentially hindered, by living a godly life, and by giving regularly and sacrificially of my finances to the church. (Hebrews 10:25, Philippians 1:27, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Leviticus 27:30)
